Why Upgrade Your Network?

Your Network is the foundation of entire digital infrastructure. As your business grows, so does the demand placed on your network. More devices, more users, cloud services, security systems and connected technologies very quickly exposes the limitations of an ageing infrastructure.

An Outdated  Network can Lead to

•Slow performance - Congestion, outdated hardware and                  insufficient bandwidth can impact everything from everyday          business applications to video conferencing and cloud                    services.

•Unreliable Connectivity - Intermittent connections, equipment        failures and poor Wi-Fi coverage can disrupt productivity and        create unnecessary downtime.

•Security Vulnerabilities - Older infrastructure may lack modern      security capabilities such as network segmentation, 802.1X            authentication, advanced firewall policies and centralised                monitoring.

•Limited Scalability - A network designed for yesterday's                  requirements may struggle to accommodate additional users,        devices, access points and building systems.

What does a network upgrade actually achieve?

A network upgrade isn't simply about faster internet. It's about creating a reliable, secure and scalable foundation for everything that connects to it.

A properly designed network can provide better performance in terms of Higher-capacity switching, faster uplinks and improved Wi-Fi, better reliability due to Better infrastructure, redundancy and proactive monitoring and scalability due to Infrastructure designed to accommodate future users, devices and technologies.

Complete Guide To a Network Upgrade

• Network Assessment - Before replacing equipment, we assess the existing infrastructure. We typically look at       existing switches, routers, firewalls, Cabling, fibre infrastructure, IP addressing, subnetting, Wi-Fi coverage,             performance and Critical connected systems. The idea is to Understand what you have before determining what     you need.

• Network Design - We develop a network architecture around the building/facility's requirements. This typically         includes Core, distribution and access switching, Fibre backbone design, Network segmentation, Redundancy,       and Enterprise Wi-Fi

• Physical Infrastructure Upgrade - We believe that The physical network is just as important as the active                   equipment, so if necessary we upgrade the cabling to the latest cat 6/cat 6a, Cable management, Fibre                     termination , Rack power and UPS and Labelling and documentation. A high-performance network starts with a       solid physical infrastructure.

• Switching & Routing - We upgrade the network's core infrastructure to support current and future requirements.     We typically consider Layer 2 switching, Layer 3 switching, Network redundancy, PoE / PoE+ requirements and        bandwidth requirements.

• Enterprise Wi-Fi - We design Wi-Fi around coverage, capacity and security, rather than simply adding more             access points. Additionally we typically look at AP placement, roaming,  WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise and 802.1X             authentication.

• Network Security - We are heavy on network security and because of this we build security into the network           architecture. Security wise we typically look at Firewall deployment, VLAN segmentation, Access-control                 policies, 802.1X, VPN, Intrusion prevention, Threat detection and SIEM/SOAR integration.

• Documentation & Handover - A network shouldn't become a mystery after installation. We provide                             documentation covering Network topology, IP addressing, VLANs Port, assignments and Wi-Fi deployment.
